Building reports and dashboards
Reports give you a live view of how your work is going — total tasks, completion trends, hours logged, overdue items, and more. You build them by dragging widgets onto a dashboard. No SQL, no spreadsheets.

Drag-and-drop dashboard builder
Creating your first dashboard
- 1
Go to Reports in the sidebar.
- 2
Click 'New dashboard' and give it a name (e.g. 'Q2 Performance').
- 3
Pick an icon — it'll show up in the sidebar for quick access.
- 4
Optionally limit the dashboard to specific boards. Leave empty to include all accessible boards.
- 5
Save. You'll land on an empty canvas, ready for widgets.
Adding widgets
Click 'Add widget' and pick from two families:
- 1
KPI cards — single numbers like Total tasks, Completed, Overdue, In progress, Hours logged.
- 2
Charts — Status breakdown, Priority breakdown, Tasks by assignee, Completion trend, Hours by board.
- 3
Lists — Overdue tasks, Recently updated tasks.
Start with 3–4 KPI cards at the top and one trend chart below. More widgets isn't more insight — clarity beats density.
Sharing dashboards
Open the dashboard settings and add team members under 'Shared with'. They'll see the same live numbers — no exports, no stale screenshots. Great for weekly leadership reviews or client updates.
Useful dashboard recipes
- 1
Team health → Total tasks + Completed + Overdue + Tasks by assignee.
- 2
Project tracker → Completion trend + Status breakdown + Recent activity, scoped to one board.
- 3
Time & billing → Hours logged + Hours by board + Recently updated.
- 4
Bug triage → Priority breakdown + Overdue list, scoped to your Bugs board.
Refreshing data
Dashboards pull live from your tasks, so every metric updates as work moves. There's no 'sync' button — open the dashboard and you see the truth right now.
If a number looks off, check the dashboard's board scope. A widget scoped to a single board won't reflect tasks living elsewhere.
