Switching between Kanban, Calendar & Timeline
Every board has four views — Kanban, List, Calendar, and Timeline. They're not separate tools; they're different lenses on the same tasks. Use whichever fits the question you're asking.

How view switching works
View switchers live in the top bar of every board. Switch any time — the tasks are the same, but the layout adapts. Edits made in one view appear instantly in the others.
Kanban — for flow
Best for tracking what's in progress. Drag cards between columns to update status. Great for content pipelines, design sprints, bug triage.
Limit work-in-progress per column to keep things moving — if 'In review' has 15 cards, something's stuck.
Calendar — for time
Day, week, and month views. Drag tasks to reschedule. If you've connected Google Calendar, your work tasks and personal calendar appear together. Useful for editorial calendars, campaigns, anything with hard dates.
- 1
Open a board → click the Calendar tab.
- 2
Choose Day, Week, or Month from the top right.
- 3
Drag a task to a new date to reschedule.
Calendar
Week of May 26 – Jun 1, 2026
Timeline — for sequence
Gantt-style bars showing duration, owners, and progress. Best for multi-week projects, roadmaps, and launches with handoffs. Drag the edges of a bar to change start or due dates.
Timeline
See every task on a Gantt timeline — by start and due date

List — for action
Sortable, filterable, bulk-editable. Strip the visual chrome and just power through. Best for weekly reviews and triage sessions.
Use saved views in List mode — 'my tasks, due this week, high priority' becomes a one-click filter.
Saved views
Any filter combination can be saved as a view. Each teammate has their own saved views per board. Click the saved-views menu in any board to switch with one click.
