Connecting Google Calendar & Slack
ProTasks integrates with Google Calendar and Slack out of the box. This guide walks through connecting each and what changes when you do.
Calendar
Week of May 26 – Jun 1, 2026
Google Calendar
Two-way sync means your ProTasks tasks with due dates appear on your Google Calendar, and your existing Calendar events appear inside ProTasks.
- 1
Open the Calendar Sync page from the sidebar.
- 2
Click 'Connect Google Calendar' and complete the OAuth flow.
- 3
Pick which ProTasks boards to sync (or sync all).
- 4
Your tasks with due dates now appear on your Calendar within a minute.
Each user connects their own Google Calendar — your tasks sync to your calendar, your teammate's tasks sync to theirs.
Slack
Slack lets ProTasks post notifications and automation actions to your team channel. Useful for daily standups, urgent alerts, and milestone announcements.
- 1
Open Settings → Slack (admin only).
- 2
Click 'Connect Slack' and authorize.
- 3
Pick the default channel for posts.
- 4
Customize the bot display name if you want (default: ProTasks).
Using Slack from automations
Once Slack is connected, any board automation with the 'Notify Slack' action posts to your configured channel. Combine with conditions to keep noise low — e.g. only notify when a task with the 'launch' label hits Done.
Disconnecting
You can disconnect either integration at any time from Settings. ProTasks stops posting immediately. Existing tasks/synced events are not deleted.
Other integrations
Need something else? Use Webhooks (in Settings) or email-to-task to bridge to your existing stack. More native integrations are on the roadmap.
